Race Report Stage 2 - Cambodia

The Ancient Khmer Path continues after we waved goodbye to our local hosts. Today is both challenging and interesting - 24 km of flat running before the runners turn into the jungle that hosts the Preah Khan temple complex.

It was breezy early in the morning but as the sun rises, the shades faded away adding more challenges to the race. At any way, our runners were undeterred and continued the competition. The male category stays the same: Xavi Marina from Spain finished first again at an impressive course record time of 2:51hrs. Micheal Traub from the US keeps his second place followed by Tony Andrades from Spain. In the female category, for Isabelle Sauve from Canada, stayed strong and finished again in an impressive 3:15hrs; Teresa Lam from HK stayed in the second. Maria Rotger from Spain had an strong day and takes the third place in the female category today and overall.

Tonight, the runners are camping in front of the main facade of the beautiful Preah Khan temple and prepare for tomorrow‘s 62.6 km long stage.
