Race Report Stage 3 - Cambodia -

Todays long stage of 62,4km guided the runners from the Preah Khan temple to the Beng Mealea temple, which served as a setting for the Indiana Jones movie. The finishline was set inside the temple complex. The first 30km they had to go through the hot and demanding Cambodian jungle before running the remaining 32km on a flat trail almost all time in the burning sun.

The ranking for male and female category remains unchanged with Stan lee from Canada as first male, Michael Mueller from Canada in the second place and Carlos Guerreiro from Portugal the third. However, Ita Marzotti caught up Stan Lee just after checkpoint 4 and became the overall leader of the race today.

Strong day for Joachim Cigan from Germany today finishing the stage 8th and is in 11th overall now. Ramon Abdala from Argentina run an impressive constant pace and finished the stage in 11th.

Tonight runners stay in local village houses directly opposite the temple complex. Tomorrows 4th stage of 29k brings the runners up to the Kulen Waterfalls.
