Race Report Stage 3 - Cambodia 2022

Todays long stage of 61,3km guided the runners from the Preah Khan temple to the Beng Mealea temple, which was one of the sets for the Indiana Jones movies. The finish line was set inside the temple complex.

After running through the spectacular Preah Khan Temple complex, they had to go through the hot, muddy and challenging Cambodian jungle before running the remaining 30km being from west to the east.

The ranking for male category remains unchanged with Kurt Dhont from Belgium as first male, Stan Lee from Canada in the second place and Ruud de Vette from the Netherlands the third. Teresa Lam from Hong Kong caught up with Harri Washington from the UK after checkpoint 3 and became the female leader of the race today and also overtook the overall lead.

Strong day for Simone Honegger from Switzerland today finishing the stage 8th. Matt Miguelena from USA run an impressive constant pace and finished the stage in 9th. He quoted at the finishline that this was the toughest stage of all GlobalLimits races he has done.

Tonight runners stay in local village houses. Tomorrows 4th stage of 29k brings the runners up to the Kulen Waterfalls.
