Breaking News - Race Report Stage 3 - Cambodia
Who would have made this unique experience running the ancient Khmer Path in the 20th century? Those who made it today are special people.
Today's long stage spans 62.4 km, guiding the runners from the Preah Khan temple to the iconic Beng Mealea temple, renowned for its appearance in an Indiana Jones movie. The initial 30 km required navigating the hot and demanding Cambodian jungle followed by running under the relentless heat of the sun.
In the male category Nathan Montague won the stage in an impressive time of 6:28hrs beating his time from last year by one hour. Second man today was jointly Socheat Chum from Cambodia and German Martin Dittberner.
Female winner was once again Teresa Lam from Hongkong in 8:10ths followed by German Magda Paschke and Cambodian Chenda Heng.
Strong day for Uwe Paschke from Germany first bushing 8th overall.
