Breaking News - Race Report Stage 5 - Cambodia

Our runners had a rejuvenating rest and are geared up with fresh energy for the 46km ahead. This penultimate stage begins with a gently run in the Cambodian jungle that unfolds with panoramic views of the Siem Reap Province. It also offers chances to greet local farmers along the way, and culminates in another challenging ascent to an iconic hilltop Khmer temples at the Phnom Bok hill.

The male category was once again dominated by British runner Nathan Montague. Once again second was German Martin Dittberner ahead of Canadian veteran Stan Lee. In the female categoryTeresa Lam from Hongkong wins her 5th consecutive stage ahead of German Magda Paschke and local runner Chenda Heng.

Great day today for Dutch runner Theo Lamers who finished in the top ten today.

Stay tuned for the final stage tomorrow when runners will run through Angkor temples and finish in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Angkor Wat temple. Tonight, we bid a fond farewell to most of our dedicated local team, whose tireless efforts ensured our well-being by seamlessly transporting our gear and luggage from camp to camp, provided round-the-clock boiling and drinking water, setting-up and keeping our camps in order. A big thank you!
