Breaking News - Race Report Stage 1 - Cambodia
The 6-days epic journey - the 11th GlobalLimits Cambodia - The Ancient Khmer Path - started today.
The weather is the usual warm but with comfortable breeze through the waterlilies ponds. The course has changed this year and we ran through villages, greeted by excited children. The course marking team has done a great job and everyone arrived at the camp safely.
In today‘s stage, our race veteran, Nathan Montague from England, finished first in 2:38hrs. He was followed by German runner Martin Dittberner. Austrian runner Harald Gruber finished third. Well done as it is the first run in Southeast Asian for Martin and Harald.
Teresa Lam from Hong Kong finished first in 3:27hrs. Christina Khinast from Austria finished second 12 minutes behind Teresa. First time multistage runner, Chenda Heng, representing Cambodia, finished third. Well done Chenda!
Local families open their homes to our runners for rest and prepare for tomorrow‘s 36km stage.
