Breaking News: Pre Race report Sao Tomé

We are excited to be back! The 5th GlobalLimits São Tomé – The Hemisphere Crossing will take place in São Tomé and Príncipe from 09-17 August 2024.

For the first time in GlobalLimits history, a 120km course will be offered alongside the usual 200km, 6-stage course, crossing the islands from North to South and finishing right on the Equator!

Participants from 16 nations, including 5 who have completed all GlobalLimits races, will compete for podium places. They will experience São Tomé’s unique scenery, including the iconic Pico Cão Grande, a dramatic, needle-shaped volcanic plug rising from the rainforest. Participants will also immerse themselves in the island’s rich history and culture as they run through The Hemisphere Crossing trails, encountering cocoa and coffee plantations, waterfalls, jungles, botanical gardens, pristine beaches, and local villages.

The race starts on Sunday, 11 August 2024, at 7 am local time. Follow us for updates, results, reports, and photos!
