Breaking News - Race Report Stage 2 - Cambodia

The warm weather continues. another challenging day to the participants.

Today’s course is 37,5km. Before they “find” the finish line they will follow the jungle path into the Preah Khan temple complex of Kampong Svay. Constructed in the 12th century, the temple's vast enclosure spans approximately 5x5 km. Much of the complex's interior remains undiscovered, adding an air of mystery to this historical site.

Our runners continue to exude high spirits and remain undeterred. The male category stays the same: Nathan Montague from England finished first again. Harald from Austria moved up to second place followed by Socheat Chum from Cambodia. In the female category, Teresa Lam from Hongkong finished in 4:33, Chenda Heng from Cambodia moving fast and finished second and Christina Khinast from Austria in third.

Special to mention today is Ginny Kucera from the Uk who finished 4th together with her mother Sarah. Ginny never ran more than 27km before.

Tomorrow’s long stage spans 62.4 km. We wish everyone a good night of rest.
