With great sadness and disappointment I have to inform you that the 9th GlobalLimits Cambodia in 2020 has to be postponed to 2021 due to the entry restrictions of the Government of Cambodia caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

As per now, Cambodia has just 275 infections in total of which 274 are cured. No death is reported. The border to Cambodia are open for tourists. However, the Cambodian Government has introduced requirements for the prevention to the spread of COVID-19 for all travelers entering Cambodia. This includes an USD 2.000 deposit at arrival, a negative test at arrival, 14-days quarantine even if tested negative and if somebody on your flight is tested positive you have to go to a 14-days quarantine in a government hotel.

Following that, most international airlines have suspended their flight services to Cambodia until further notice.

These unacceptable entry restrictions of the Government of Cambodia with an unforeseeable period does not guarantee a proper and reliable planning of the event and has forced us to take this step.

I very well can understand your frustration and disappointment as you all was looking forward to this race, planned and trained for it for months already. The health and safety of our runners, crew members, local helpers, all their families and local communities has the highest priority.
