Breaking News - Race report Stage 3 Cambodia 2023
Today is a challenging and demanding day, characterized by scorching heat, wet feet and a test of endurance. But there will be rewards. Today's extensive stage spans 62 km, guiding the runners from the Preah Khan Temple to the iconic Beng Mealea temple, renowned for its appearance in an Indiana Jones movie. The initial 30 km required navigating the hot and demanding Cambodian jungle. The brief but heavy rainfall the night before adds extra challenge - an uneven knee-deep layer of mud was created.
The ranking for male remains unchanged with Nathan Montague from England as first male, Kim Kok from Cambodia in the second place and Nathan Stewart from England the third. In the female category, Teresa Lam from Hong Kong came first, followed by Claire Tevenet from France and Lynn Robinson from England in third.
Strong day for Ralf Poggensee from Germany today finishing the stage 12th and is in 10th overall now.
