Breaking News - Race Report Stage 5 - Cambodia

Our runners had a rejuvenating rest by the Kulen River and are geared up with fresh energy for the 47km ahead. This penultimate stage begins with a gently run in the Cambodian jungle that unfolds with panoramic views of the Siem Reap Province. It also offers chances to greet local farmers along the way, and culminates in another challenging ascent to an iconic hilltop Khmer temple.

Nathan Montague is again the leading male, followed by Kim Kok from Cambodia. Rafael Banetto from Brazil was flying today and finished third.

The female category remains the same with Teresa Lam from Hong Kong leading, followed by Claire Thevenet from France and Deborah Koh from Singapore at the third place.

Great day for Helmuth Raukuttis from Germany and Canadian Arun Dogra finishing 10th and 11th. Is there going to be changes in the podium place on the final 16,8km stage?

Stay tuned for the final stage tomorrow when runners will run through Angkor temples and finish in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Angkor Wat temple. Tonight, we bid a fond farewell to most of our dedicated local team, whose tireless efforts ensured our well-being by seamlessly transporting our gear and luggage from camp to camp, provided round-the-clock boiling and drinking water, setting-up and keeping our camps in order. A big thank you!
