Pre-Race Report Uzbekistan - Footsteps of Alexander the Great -

The 33rd GlobalLimits event will welcome nearly 100 runners from 30 different nations, supported by a highly experienced and dedicated international crew.

Runners will journey through Uzbekistan’s untouched natural landscapes and rich historical terrain, encountering breathtaking scenery and unforgettable moments at every stage. As they make their way through the diverse countryside, they will pass traditional villages, shimmering turquoise lakes, and rolling hills that stretch endlessly toward the horizon. Along the route, there may even be glimpses of native wildlife, adding to the immersive experience of racing through one of Central Asia’s most captivating environments.

True to GlobalLimits tradition, the race finishes at an unforgettable and iconic site: Alexander the Great’s ancient fortress built in 359 bc in the historic city of Nurata. Nearby, runners can visit the sacred Chashma spring, long believed to have healing properties and a site of deep spiritual significance. With so many seasoned athletes and emerging talents in the field, predicting this year’s podium will be no easy feat.
