Final Report 5th GlobalLimits Albania

After 6 days and 220km of running and adventure through remote Albania‘s beautiful trails and breathtaking landscapes, the participants of the 5th GlobalLimits Albania -The Hidden Treasure reach the last stage of the race with a 14,5 km run from the Village of Murci to the finish line at the Roman amphitheater of the UNESCO World heritage site of Butrint. The runners must cross an Ionian channel by ferry and run around the charming ancient complex.

Final results: Erin Drasler from the USA is not only the winner of her category but also the overall winner of the race. The second female is Harri Washington from England and the third goes to GlobalLimits veteran Christina Khinast of Austria. Arben Shati from Albania wins the male category, followed by German runner Martin Dittberner and the third goes to Isreali runner Eilon Amron. Congratulations!

After touring around Butrint, the runners arrive at a beautiful seaside resort in Sarande. Tonight they will celebrate their hard work at the hotel with the award ceremony and catch up with their fellow runner before heading home.
