Breaking News - Race Report Stage 4 - Sao Tomé

The long 58.9km stage follows the southern coastline, featuring São Tomé’s deep, slippery jungles, plantations, river crossings, and local villages. Tonight’s camp is at the renowned Praia Grande - The Big Beach.

Those who pay attention will notice the iconic needle-shaped Pico Cão Grande emerging behind the campsite.

For the 120km participants, they first enjoy a hearty breakfast at Roça San Joao Angolares, before tacking the deep jungle of São Tomé south.

Congratulations to Japanese runner Yuya Takizawa, who broke the course record today, finishing in 5:53hr. Nearly all runners finished before sunset at 1800. Well done!
