The 4th GlobalLimits São Tomé - The Hemisphere Crossing, a 200km, 6-stages ultra running event is going to take place on the island of São Tomé and Príncipe between 19 - 24 February 2023!

To much of our delights, many runners in this race have already been to our other editions in São Tomé! You could only ask them why they come back but we believe that this beautiful island and the friendly people are the points of attraction! (and of course, the running in the humidity, the jungles, the campsites and the sweats!) We expect runners from all continents.

We welcome back some top female and male runners - Filipa Castela from Portugal, who had won GlobalLimits races in São Tomé and Albania, is back. We may see her breaking the record of Veronique Messina from 2020! Also, is Austrian runner Christina Khinast going to make a GlobalLimits history - to be on a GlobalLimits podium the 10th times? Also in the race again is Teresa Lam (Hongkong), 7 times GlobalLimits podium winner and winner of the recent race in Cambodia.

In addition, would Martin Dittberner from Germany, who was in the second place in GlobalLimits Albania 2022, be on the podium in his second GlobalLimits São Tomé race?

As always, GlobalLimits invites and sponsors local runners to participate in our event each year and this year we have 4 local - and the first time we have a lady, Vania Oliviera Martins, from the other island of the country - Príncipe! Last but not least, it is our great pleasure and honour to welcome some very experienced runners from different parts of the world - applaud for their energy, endurance and dedication - we have Moo Woong Lee from South Korea (79 years old ) and Edda Bauer from Germany (78 years). Edda is a multible world record holder in her age group in ultra races up to 1000miles (!) non-stop. Can you run like they do?
