Todays stage of approx. 30k brought the runners from the village Kabisa to the Phajoding Monastery. After the final 7km ascend from the second checkpoint, the runners reached the Phajoding Monastery at 3600m altitude but they are not allow to rest their legs - because the highly anticipated annual friendly football match, Phajoding Monks vs GlobalLimits has to be reinstalled.

After an intensive match the victory went, once again, to the monks by 5:2.

After three years of rest, GlobalLimits is still not able to beat the strong young monks of the Phajoding Monastery, we understood that they had been practising and polishing their skills in the last three year, in high altitude. Second male: Philip Best/Australia

Third male: Mike Mueller/Canada

Second female: Akemi Ban/Japan

Third female: Claire Thevenet/France

Sascha Gramm regained the overall male lead, now ahead of James Trueman and Philip Best.

No change in the female overall ranking, Melissa Gildenhuys in the lead, Akemi Ban in second and Harri Washington in third.
