After spending a balmy evening inside the Beng Mealea Temple, the runners continued their race along the Ancient Khmer Path finishing at the waterfalls of the Mount Kulen National Park, covering a total distance of 29,7km.
The runners also made their first climb in the race. At merely 420m, the runners were able to have a panoramic view of the region. The runners run through maize fields, villages, smiling children, forest and arriving at the Mount Kulen Waterfalls where they could have a dip in the falls and spend the night next to it.
Vicente Juan Garcia continued to keep his first place finishing after 2:49hrs. Fantastic day for Guillaume Degouret who obviously recovered from his knee problems and finishing second in 3:05hrs.
Clare Mullenger overtook Sally Ford winning the stage in 3:22hrs 19mins ahead of Sally. Again Teresa Lam finished in third and 7th overall today.
Great day for Martin Nobbs, Ashley Burke and Tristan Duffy who all finished well ahead of their overall ranking.
No changes in the overall ranking, seeing Vicente Juan Garcia still in lead ahead of Kurt Alderweirelt and Stan Lee. First woman is still Sally Ford but now just 17mins ahead of Clare Mulleneger. Still in third position is Teresa Lam.
Tomorrows stage is planned with 44k.
