Breaking News - Race Report Stage 5 Cambodia
After spending a relaxing day at the Kulen Waterfalls, the runner started anew and afresh today in the fifth stage of The Ancient Khmer Path (44,5km). The runners ran the first 12km along the leafty Kulen National Park and slowly decended to some paddy fields and local villages. At check point 3, the runners started a steep 200m climb up the Ta Aek hill to the Ta Aek Temple at the top, enjoying the scenary of the region. The finish line lies 8km away from the temple at a local school, where the runners will also rest and prepare for the final stage of the race.
Special mention to Maik Becker from Germany who recovered from last stage's physical unwell and finished as an impressive 2nd man today; and Haruki Minaki from Japan rolls his energy and raised his overall ranking to 18th today. Ashley Burke from Australia also had a great day finishinh 7th overall. Well done guys!
