Breaking news - Stage 4

Stage 4 started today with 30 runners at 8am local time. Total distance was 29,7km with 2 checkpoints. First 10km had to be ran on asphalted road before runners had to enter the Kulen mountains nationalpark. A short steep climp of 2km and 350m in altitude brought the runners on the top of the mountains before running on the ridge until they have arrived at the spectacular Kulen waterfalls. Camp is set in open huts just with mosquito nets.

From beginning on Stepane Vernay from France pushed very hard not to give spanish runner Salvador Calvo any chance to close the gap in the general ranking. Finally Stephane won the stage again in 2hrs and 33mins, followed by Salva Calvo in 2:52. Third place went again to Australian Shane Rattenbury in 3:06.

Another impressive victory today in the women's category by french Veronique Messina in 3hrs 17mins just ahead of Clementine Tanguide in 3hrs 20mins. As the days before Georgina Ayre from UK finished third in 3:31.

Great performance today by Norman Bücher from Germany and Christopher Lewis from UK who both have finished in the Top 10 and improving their overall ranking by a few places.

Despite the difficult terrain in the mountains today the blind Korean runner Yong Sul Lee guided by his friend Gyeong Su Kim have finished the stage in just 6hrs and 23mins.

Today the runners have time to enjoy the Kulen waterfalls by swimming, showering and relaxing.

Tomorrows 5 stage is designed with 44,2km.
