GlobalLimits Cambodia 2014 - The Ancient Khmer Path -

The 3rd edition of the Ancient Khmer Path ended on 5th December with a spectacular finish in front of the world heritage site Angkor Wat.

A record number of 43 participants from 20 countries participated, including the Cambodian female marathon record holder Nary Ly.

Saudi Arabian runner Mo Foustok dominated throughout and won the men’s race in 19h 52min 1s. Spanish ultra-running legend Salvador Calvo Redondo, the winner in 2012, and the second-time runner Stan Lee from Canada, made up the second and third in the men’s race. Hong Kong based Russian runner Olya Korzh, who showed amazing strength throughout the race, was the winner of the women’s race finishing at 23h 07 min 56s. Austrian runner Christina K. Sittenthaler, who won the second place in women’s race, was 2.5 hours behind Olya. The third place went to Nary.

At the end of the race, the Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Combodia, Mr. Vath Chamroeun, presented trophies to all runners at the award ceremony held in the 5-stars Sokhalay Angkor Resort.
