Race update Cambodia - Stage 3
Today`s long stage of 62,4km started in a split start at the ruins of the ancient Preah Khan Temple. The first 30km went through the Cambodian jungle before leading the runners to a 32km dirt road. 37 of 41 runners who started todays stage finished inside the Beng Mealea Temple, the temple where the movie Indiana Jones was filmed. The camp is set inside the temple complex.
Another great vicoday for Saudi Arabian runner Mo Foustok in 5:57hrs ahead the first female runner, the strong performing Olya Korzh from Russia in 6:55hrs. Second male was Salvador Calvo from Spain in 7:42hrs. Stunning performance today from Irish ultrarunner Ruthann Sheahan who finished second female and fourth overall in 7:48hrs. Third female was Austrian Christina Khinast and third male Canadian Stan Lee.
It is difficult to highlight any of the runners today as they all have performed absolutely strong today, including Singaporean Emmy Teo who never ran more than 50km or the couble Jade Overy and Marcelo Vanzuita who both finished hand in hand.
Mo Foustok is still in the lead in the overall ranking ahead of Salvador Calvo and Stan lee now ranking third. First female is Olya Korsh ahead of Christina Khinast and Cambodian Nary Li.
