Race update Cambodia - Stage 4
After the long stage yesterday stage 4 today started 2 hours later at 8am local time. After a flat section of 12km runners were faced the first climb of the race going up to the Kulen Mountains. Following the ridge of the mountains runners passed checkpoint 2 before entering the spectacular Kulen Waterfalls. Camp is set today in open huts just equiped with mosquito nets. Runners have the chance to swim, shower and relax in the waterfalls.
Todays stage was won as usual by Mo Foustok in 2:35hrs ahead of Salvador Calvo and first woman Olya Korzh. Fourth today was strong performing Canadian Stan Lee ahead of second female Christina Khinast and third female Nary Li.
Outstanding race today from Britain Linda Dabley who finished 12th, far ahead of her overall ranking. Another strong day from Greek Themos Sgouras finishing 8th.
No changes today in the overall ranking with Mo Foustok still in the lead ahead of Salva Calvo and Stan Lee. Women leader is still Olya Korzh ahead of Christina Khinast and Nary Li. With Irish Ruthann Sheahan being 4th woman the overall ranking shows now 4 women in the top 7.
