Breaking News - Stage 3

30 runners started today the long stage of 62,2km finishing at the Beng Mealea Temple.

Only Nigel Hewitt from the UK couldn't start because of problems in his left leg.

First 30km went through the Cambodian jungle before participants had to run another 32km in the heat of Cambodia on a dirt road

All runners now have successfully finished the stage in an impressive manner.

Joined winner today were Salva Calvo from Spain and Stephane Vernay from France in 6hrs and 3mins. As in the 2 previous stages Shane Rattenbury from Australia was third man but was overtaken by Impressive Veronique Messina from France who has finished 3rd overall is Clenn a time of 6hrs and 26mins.Second woman again was Clementine Tanguide from France followed Britain Georgina Ayre.

Fantastic performance today from the 3 senior runners Hansjuerg Moser and Marcel Brenn from Switzerland, Gunnar Faehn from Norway, Dan Brendan from USA who all have finished the stage far ahead of the expected finisher time.

Tomorrows “short” stage 4 will start at 8am to give the runners the opportunity to view the temple where the movie Indiana Jones was produced. Tomorrows camp is set at the Kulen waterfalls were runners can enjoy a bath in the waterfalls.
