Breaking News: Final Race Report Sao Tome

GlobalLimits runners made history today - they have completed the first ultramarathon - GlobalLimits São Tomé - The Hemisphere Crossing - in the beautiful island of São Tomé; and they are the first guests of the island, that explore it by way of running, walking, struggling, sweating, or even swearing, from the north to the south and across, even circumference the island of Rolas, and complete their journey on the equator.

What more could we ask for, with friendly local cheering everywhere we run, our local team working tirelessly to make sure we are being well taken care of, ministers (and even the Prime Minster) attend to us personally, and local businesses supporting us with premium quality coconut massage oil, masseurs, delicious bread and cakes. GlobalLimits is grateful for all and we hope this race brings all our qualified runners (and friends) who support us and participated in our races more than two times, wonderful and beautiful memories of us and the lush, unique island of São Tomé.

The overall champion is local runner Ismael Tavarez, who won every stage and never show any tiredness.

The overall female winner is Veronoque Messina from France who now is the first runner in GlobalLimits history who won all 4 races she actended.

Special thank to the author of one of the best guide book of São Tomé, Kathleen Baker, and Tiziano Pisano of Mucumbli Explorer who have great passion and live of the island. Without their knowledge, experience and passion for São Tomé, this race would not be possible.
