Breaking News - São Tomé

The time has come! We are grateful that all our competitors, doctors and volunteers have finally arrived and gathered in the Center of the World for the 3rd edition of GlobalLimits São Tomé - The Hemisphere Crossing. A 6 days, 200km challenge on foot across this wildly beautiful island is waiting for them.

GlobalLimits welcomes its runners with a fare of BBQ buffet and live music at a seaside hotel in the capital. We have the honour of having The Minister of Sport - Mr. Vinicio Pina to joining us and gives a welcome speech to our runners. After much carbo-loading they shall be ready for tomorrow‘s early morning equipment and medical checks, followed by a city tour before tasting some delicious local fish dishes at a local restaurant. Eventually, they will be transport to the first camp, located in the botanical garden of Roça Agostinho Neto, once the largest cocoa producers on the island.

Humidity stays at about 75% and daytime temperature at about 28 degree celsius. The competition officially starts at 7am on Sunday morning in front of the historical hospital of the Roça. Stay with us and join this incredible adventure!
