Breaking news - Stage 2

All 31 runners have started stage 2 this morning at 06:30 local time and now have finished the stage.

The 36,4km stage covered 24km on local dirt roads before entering the Cambodian jungle. The impressive finish and camp was set at the ancient Preah Khan temple.

The stage was won again by Stephan Vernay from France in 2hrs 52mins ahead of Salva Calvo from Spain in 3:02. Third finisher was Australian Shane Rattenbury. All 3 defended their overall ranking.

Fastest woman today was french Veronique Messina in 3:36 just 3 minutes ahead of Clementine Tanguide from France. Third place went to impressive Georgina Ayre from UK in 3:41 who role up the field coming from behind.

Tomorrows stage 3 is set for 62,2km whereof the first 30km are going through the jungle. Finish and camp will be at the Beng Mealea temple, well know for the location of the Indiana Jones movie
