The race is on.
With the President od the district Lobata and the Director of Sports of São Tomé and Príncipe in attendance, surrounded by enthusiastic locals and schoolchildren proudly singing the national anthem, the 6th edition of GlobalLimits São Tomé – The Hemisphere Crossing burst into life at the historic Agostinho Neto plantation hospital.
Stage One unfolded over a demanding 36.9 km, guiding runners across a rich tapestry of rugged trails, historic landmarks, dense tropical vegetation, and refreshing water crossings. As the terrain tested endurance, cool island breezes swept through the course, offering moments of relief and setting an unforgettable tone for the adventure ahead.
Today's camp is set inside the schools in Monte Café, once the island's largest coffee plantation.
