6th GlobalLimits São Tomé - The Hemisphere Crossing -
200km - 130km - 6 stages
Meeting point: Capital of São Tomé & Príncipe
Goal: Padrão do Equador, Ilhéu das Rolas, São Tomé
Cross the Hemisphere. Conquer the Jungle. From February 13–21, we’re taking on the 6th GlobalLimits São Tomé - The Hemisphere Crossing -. Think lush jungles, volcanic peaks, and a test of endurance in one of the most remote paradises on Earth.
Step off the map and into the "Island of Mist." 54 plus brave souls are heading into a 200km/130km journey through the heart of the Atlantic, pushing ourselves across some of the most remote terrain on Earth.
We’re going to trace the footsteps of history. We’ll be running through the ruins of old colonial Roças, navigating the deep emerald canopy of Obô Natural Park, and finding our pace in the shadow of the massive Pico Cão Grande.
When the sun goes down, we’re going to find sanctuary in historic plantation courtyards, remote eco-camps and pristine beaches - regrouping and sharing stories under a sky full of stars.
The journey ends where Earth’s great lines come closest together. After a final push to Ilhéu das Rolas, we will stand on the Equator — feeling at once in the middle of the world and near the 0-Meridian as the ocean stretches to the horizon.
We are ready to find our limit!

Who to watch?
In our race, we have always discovered new running talents in the world of multi-stage racing. Before unveiling this year's emerging stars, let's re-introduce some familiar faces who have a strong chance of reaching the podium.
Jusuel Alzira (São Tomé & Príncipe)
Three years ago, he secured second place overall—a result that left him just one step away from the title. Has time strengthened his endurance enough to help him claim the top podium spot this year?
Kurt Dhont (Belgium)
In 2022, he conquered the heat and terrain to take the top spot in GlobalLimits Cambodia. After a hard-fought third-place finish in GlobalLimits Uzbekistan last year, the question remains: does he still have the finishing kick to reclaim the throne?
Bryan Gensits (USA)
The winner of GlobalLimits Uzbekistan 2025 and the runner-up in the Peaks of the Balkans 2025 returns. Will he carry his grit and good fortune to the tropical island and stay on top of the podium once again?
Caroline Hanks (South Africa)
Caroline was 4th place at GlobalLimits - Peaks of the Balkans - a solid, strong endurance athlete. Recently recovered from injury, will her return to form - and her familiarity with African conditions - put her on the podium this time?
Sarah, Josie and Ginny Kucera (England)
Can Sarah and her daughters Josie and Ginny now make history by sharing the podium together, while Papa Kucera takes on the 130km distance in the race?
Valentin Mayr (Austria)
Following an impressive 4th-place finish at GlobalLimits – Uzbekistan, Valentin Mayr has firmly established himself among the top contenders. The Austrian athlete looks poised to challenge for a podium spot on the Island.
