Breaking News - Race Report Stage 4 - Sao Tome

We quietly farewell our hosting villages this morning as our first batch of runners ‪start at 0530am‬, as the long stage of 58,9km awaits them. São Tomé’s deep jungles, vast plantations, ocean boulevards, and local villages forms the trail. It is a hot and humid day and not easy for all runners. We thank you the villagers for cheering and supporting our runners.

The male winner is again Ismael Tavarez from São Tomé finishing in 6:04hrsnfollowed by another São Tomean Julio Pereira in 6:28hrs and Xavi Marina from Spain in 6:38hrs. At the lady side, Veronique Messina from France winning also this stage in an impressive 7:00hrsnfollowed todayby Julia Ramanova from the Netherlands and Christina Khinast from Austria.
No changes in the overall female ranking seeing Verò Messina still in lead ahead of Christina Khinast and Julia Romanova.
The the male category Ismael Tavarez is still in a comfortablw lead. Second niw Julio Oereira and third Xavi Marina.

Tomorrow our group will run across the island and arriving at the famous swimming pool beach - the Praia Piscina.
