Date

The event starts on Saturday, 26th April 2025 and finishes on Sunday, 4th May 2025.  All runners meet in the designated hotel in the UNESCO World Heritage City of Samarkand and disembark in the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bukhara.

Upon arrival at Samarkand International Airport (IATA: SKD), all participants will be welcomed by GlobalLimits’ team and transported to the designated hotel.

The Race

The race starts in the pictures Sentob Valley, 179 km West from Samarkand. The finish is at the iconic sandstone fortress Nur, built by Alexander the Great in 327BC, in the ancient city of Nurata.

The race course is planned to cover 230 km across 6 stages,. The course will be clearly marked, eliminating the need for navigation.

Mandatory equipments

Participants are required to bring all mandatory equipment and food supplies as specified by the race organizer (refer to the equipment list).

Each participant must carry their mandatory racing equipment during the race (day pack only!). The list of mandatory equipment has been reduced to the minimum!

Food and personal belongings, packed in one bag not exceeding 10 kg in weight, will be transported from camp to camp.

Logistics

GlobalLimits provides the camp infrastructure and cold/ warm water (for drinking and preparing food only) at the camp sites at the end of each stage.  Complimentary lunch will be served on the way to the opening camp and and a snack will be served at the final finishline. Bottled water will also be provided at each check-point throughout the race course. During the race week, all participants will stay in one campsite at the end of each stage.  Tents and toilet facilities are available at every campsite (no mattresses). 

Personal belongings that are not needed by the participants during the race week (one bag per participant), will be transported from the opening designated hotel in Samarkand to the final hotel in Bukhara.

Award Ceremony

The Award Ceremony, which includes a buffet-style dinner, will take place in a 4*****hotel in Bukhara on the Saturday night, 3rd May.  One night of accommodation in the same hotel is included in the race package.

On Sunday, May 4th, 2025, participants have the option to depart independently or extend their stay with one of our recommended extension programs.
