GlobalLimits eSwatini – The Swazi Highland Trail is a thrilling 230 km ultra-distance stage race through the highlands of the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Spanning six challenging stages, the Race takes you across rugged mountain trails, technical ridgelines, river crossings and spectacular valleys, with suspension bridges adding another dimension to the adventure. Every stage combines demanding terrain with some of the most remarkable landscapes in Southern Africa.

Winding valleys, challenging ascents and descents, single trails and ever-changing terrain will test your endurance and resilience. Every stage brings a new challenge — and a new perspective on this remarkable kingdom.

Along the route, you will pass through remote villages, discover places far beyond the usual tourist paths and encounter fascinating traces of Eswatini’s history, all surrounded by extraordinary natural beauty.

The journey begins in Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, one of Eswatini’s pioneering conservation areas where wildlife roams freely.

From there, the trail leads deep into the highlands, passing the stunning Malolotja Nationalpark, through landscapes shaped by some of the oldest geological history on Earth. The region forms part of a wider geological story dating back billions of years, making this far more than just a trail-running adventure.

The final destination is one of Eswatini’s great natural icons: Sibebe Rock — the world’s second-largest monolith.
